It looks like the LG Env Pro, a dual-screen, Android-powered landscape clamshell may indeed be coming to both Verizon and US Cellular, as reported by Engadget last November. The Env Pro had once been thought cancelled. While perusing the DLNA certification database on an unrelated matter, we came across a trio of unreleased handsets from LG with similar model numbers: VS760, VS761, and US760. From previous rumors as well as Verizon's standard nomenclature for LG's Android handsets (the VS660 is the LG Vortex and VS740 the LG Ally), it's pretty clear that VS760 is the QWERTY-equipped Env Pro, especially since the DLNA write-up describes a dual-screen product. While VS760 passed through the DLNA alliance way back in September, both VS761 and US760 were certified two months later, on November 30th. Again, based on the Engadget report, we suspect that VS761 is the rumored Froyo version of the Env Pro for Verizon, while US760 would line up with US Cellular's one and only Android-powered LG phone, the Ally-like LG US740 Apex. While VS760 also went through the FCC in September, VS761 hasn't yet, although if it is indeed a simple OS upgrade over VS760 it may not need to. We may see the Env Pro launch as early as this month.
