Carson Daly May Host New Singing Competition Show For NBC
They're coming for you, American Idol. Brace yourselves for the ambush!
Sources are reporting that Carson Daly is in talks to host NBC's latest foray into reality television, The Voice.
Marked as a "rival" singing competition show for Idol, the concept for the show is being adapted from a hit in Holland of the same namesake by top reality producers John de Mol and Mark Burnett.
Basically, the show will feature four mentors, each of which will form a team of singers they will coach and mentor for the season. One by one, contestants will be eliminated until each coach only has one team member left. Those four talents will then compete in the finals in hopes of being named The Voice in a live finale.
You know, we think Carson would be an EXCELLENT choice for the job. He has a strong background in music and working with celebrities. He's very personable. Yeah, a perfect fit, we say.
But now, what about the judges? Have you all given any thought to who you'd want in those positions? Because we can think of someone who'd love to do it…
