As far as her hair goes, none other than celebrity hairstylist (and industry legend) Oribe worked on the actress’ lovely locks. How did he get the look?

1. Spray the hair, section by section, with Oribe Volumista Mist for Volume. This plumping mist swells the hair shaft and leaves it feeling thicker with great texture and hold. Blow-dry with a round brush for added body and movement.
2. Mist Oribe Soft Lacquer Heat Styling Spray on the hair, spraying one section at a time. The high-sheen, light-hold styling spray prevents frizz and locks in softness and shine for an intense polish. Use a large 1.5 inch barrel curling iron to curl the whole head.
3. Brush out the curls to keep the style looking natural but bodiful.

Ferrari FF breaks cover 208mph

Ferrari has revealed details of its first ever four-wheel drive model. The Pininfarina-designed FF (meaning four seats and four-wheel drive) is billed as the Italian manufacturer’s fastest four-seater ever and uses a front-mounted 6.2-litre direct injection V12 engine, producing 651bhp at 8,000rpm and 504lb ft of torque at 6,000rpm, mated to a transaxle dual-clutch F1 paddle-shift gearbox.

At 4.9m and 1,790kg the FF is fractionally longer and lighter than the outgoing 612 Scaglietti four-seater, and 3.5cm taller, too. Ferrari says it will accelerate from 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 208mph.

The FF uses Ferrari's HELE system, first shown on the California, which includes Stop&Start technology and helps the new supercar achieve a Combined fuel economy figure of 18.3mpg, along with a CO2 figure of 360g/km.

Ferrari’s 4RM four-wheel drive hardware weighs 50 per cent less than a conventional set‑up, while maintaining near perfect 47:53 weight distribution. According to Ferrari, it “delivers record levels of performance on all terrains and all conditions via continuous and intelligent predictive torque distribution to all four wheels”. Rather than proper off-roading, however, FF owners will be able to use their cars on “low grip or snow-covered surfaces”, as well as more conventional Ferrari territory such as on the track and in city driving.

The FF will also have carbon-ceramic brakes and a “magnetorheological” adaptive damping system, as featured on Ferrari’s 458 Italia.

Maranello’s latest is promised to offer levels of passenger space, comfort and equipment previously unheard of for a car of this kind. With four seats and a 450-litre boot it will, says Ferrari, “comfortably accommodate four people and their luggage”.

Prices and further details will be announced when the FF makes its official debut at March’s Geneva motor show.

Asahi Glass unveils super-strong smartphone cover

Gorilla glass, meet Dragontrail.

Asahi Glass Co., Japan's largest glass maker, on Thursday unveiled a super-tough, scratch resistant cover for gadgets that it says is six times stronger than conventional glass.

Called "Dragontrail," the product represents Asahi's intensified ambitions to grab a chunk of the surging global market for smartphones and tablets. All those devices need a durable sheath to protect what's inside from the bumps, nicks and falls that inevitably come with use.

The biggest player in the market now is Corning Inc., which makes the much-heralded "Gorilla" glass.

Gorilla, a similarly ultra-strong glass, is used by more than 20 major brands in 200 million-plus cell phones and mobile devices, according to the New York-based company. It's in Samsung's Galaxy smartphones and tablets, as well as Motorola's Droid phone and LG's X300 notebook.

It's been rumored to be used by Apple Inc., but neither company has confirmed the much-discussed mystery. Corning says not all customers want to be identified.

Gorilla has been a huge success for Corning since it picked up its first customer in 2008. It generated $80 million in revenue in 2009, and soaring demand could boost sales to $1 billion this year as the glass begins to migrate to high-end TVs.

So how does Dragontrail stack up against the Gorilla? Asahi Glass executives weren't saying, declining to make any direct comparisons with competitors.

Instead, the company says Dragontrail matches the best products currently available and describes Dragontrail as a "superior substitute to conventional cover material." It is multiple times stronger than soda-lime glass commonly used in windows, resists scratches and has a "beautiful, pristine" finish.

A brief test by The Associated Press resulted in the glass showing virtually no damage after being scratched hard for several seconds with a key.

Asahi Glass hopes Dragontrail will generate global revenue of at least 30 billion yen ($360 million) and about 30 percent market share next year.

The product is already in some devices, but the company said it could not reveal details about customers or when it signed its first deal.

President and Chief Executive Kazuhiko Ishimura called the new glass a "very important global strategic product."

"We aim for Dragontrail to serve as one of the foundations for growth for the Asahi Glass Group," he said at a news conference.

David Fincher Gets The Girl

n a dark, icy afternoon in late November, director David Fincher was in a photo studio in Stockholm adjusting blood. The blood, which was of course fake, covered the hands of a young actress named Rooney Mara, but to Fincher’s mind, which is prone to reimagining reality in cinematic terms, the bloody hands belonged to Lisbeth Salander, the heroine of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Salander—an androgynous, bisexual computer hacker with multiple piercings and a distinctive tattoo on her back—is the complicated star of Stieg Larsson’s “Millennium” series, a trio of novels that have sold more than 50 million (and counting) copies worldwide. Larsson described Salander in opposites: slender but tough, “spidery” but elegant. Fincher, who is directing the American movie version of the first book in the series, has taken that gamine, biker-chick, downtown-girl template and tweaked it. Now she’s his.

The transformation began with the hair. Mara’s long brown mane was dyed black and cut in a series of jagged points that looked as if she had chopped it herself with a dull razor. The bangs were cropped very short and uneven, and the rest of the hair was layered into an extended shag. The final result was a mash-up of brazen Seventies punk and spooky Eighties goth with a dash of S&M temptress. That look, which could also describe Salander’s nature, was echoed in her wardrobe—a collection of ripped stockings, low garter belts, skintight leather, and heavy-soled boots. In all the angry, attractive darkness, Mara, who is 25, lithe, and petite, radiated an intriguing mix of menace and vulnerability. Fincher’s Lisbeth Salander, as channeled by Mara, is unique—a brilliant but childlike avenging angel with an understanding and an appreciation of violence. In essence, she’s a lot like her creator, David Fincher.
