RIDING on its "Simply Different" brand refresh campaign, U Mobile will be offering limited units of the BlackBerry Bold 9780 and Curve 9300 at special prices starting from RM3, RM33 and RM333 only today.
They are up for grabs at the Boulevard, ground floor of Berjaya Times Square, from 11am to 8pm on a first-come first-served basis.
Prepaid and postpaid users can also pair their existing BlackBerry phones with U Mobile’s latest affordable BlackBerry plans which have been created with flexibility in mind so that users can take their pick of getting a data plan on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
Customers who miss out on the limited units of BlackBerry Bold 9780 and Curve 9300 will still be able to purchase BlackBerry phones at a comparatively low prices for Bold and Curve units which are bundled with U Mobile BlackBerry Data Plan and Pay As You Use (PAYU) voice plans.
Customers will also stand a chance at obtaining U Mobile’s early bird offers, which includes free six months Blackberry data plans.
Both the bundling package and early bird offers will only be available while stocks last.
These are part of U Mobile’s roll out of new product offerings to reflect its series of core business changes in 2011.
As part of its Simply Different brand refreshment campaign, the company is set to take on a more pro-active strategy through a series of new value-added products and services .
"The ‘Simply Different’ effort is targeted to make our subscriber’s life easier by being flexible while keeping things simple," said U Mobile chief executive officer
Dr Kaizad Heerjee.
Like its RM0 Nokia phone bundling offer, IDD1310 at 9 sen/30 seconds and the launch of its 42Mbps broadband network in 2010, Heerjee said the company will be unveiling more exciting communication experiences into the market.
U Mobile was also looking forward to developing more strategic alliances to directly improve its network coverage and allow subscribers to benefit from better services, with seamless connectivity and effective communications.
With its initial efforts leading to it bagging the Most User Friendly Website Award for 2010 from the Information, Communication and Culture Ministry, U Mobile’s future deployment products will be focused on affordable and simple communications plans.
The various packages and promotions to be rolled out this month include a new "bonUs" customer loyalty plan which will allow subscribers to enjoy up to a 50% upfront discount, plus special offers available anytime and anywhere at 29 participating merchants.
U Mobile starter packs and top ups have also been made easily available nationwide at over 1200 7-Eleven stores and 145 Singer outlets, with an activation time of less than two hours required when customers register at 7-Eleven.
"By keeping things simple, we want to make a real ‘difference’ in people’s lives. That is our aim," said Heerjee.
