Kardashian sisters, mom sued for $75 million
The company that licensed Kim, Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian images for that credit card last year is now suing the sisters, mom Kris Jenner and their Dash Dolls company for $75 million, claiming they breached their contract by abruptly terminating the deal. The Kardashian sisters launched the MasterCard-branded credit card in November. But when the card was criticized for having "outrageous" hidden fees, prompting the Attorney General of Connecticut to open an investigation, the reality stars, not wanting to tarnish their image, backed out.
Now, the company that licensed the Kardashians' images has filed a complaint in Fresno, Calif., and plans to taking the ladies to court for reneging on their two-year deal to promote the plastic.
"The company waited a month to file hoping this would work out. They didn't want to sue," RRG head attorney Scott Rudd tells E! News. The Kardashians have not commented; a hearing is set for May 2.
