True Grit tops North American box office
Celebrities attend Fox Searchlight's premiere for 'Crazy Heart' at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Beverly Hills, California. - Russ Einhorn / Splash Newseff Bridges' new movie True Grit has knocked Little Fockers off the top of the US box office.
The film, which also stars Matt Damon and Josh Brolin, has made a total of $110.4million in the US and Canada since it was released.
In its third weekend it made $15million knocking Little Fockers into second place with its takings of $13.8million.
True Grit has now become the first western since Unforgiven in 1992 to make over $100million.
Other movies in the top five at the North American box office include Season of the Witch as well as Tron Legacy and Black Swan.
