Blackberry Dakota specs And pictures leaked

The leaked picture of the Blackberry Dakota has told us much about Research in Motion’s, Blackberry’s parent company, latest smartphone. The Blackberry Dakota combines a capacitive touchscreen above the Blackberry trademark QWERTY keypad. The Dakota is similar to the very popular Blackberry Bold with one difference, the touchscreen. Blackberry have learnt from the flaws of the Torch, removing the sliding keyboard and increasing the keyboard size.

The specs are very impressive they include:

* There’s HD video recording using the 5-megapixel camera
* 2.8-inch touchscreen
* 3G mobile hotspot technology
* The operating system to be used is the BlackBerry OS 6.1
* NFC

Blackberry has not released a statement about the leaked photos nor have they released any information on the Dakota. This means that the release date has not yet been confirmed but as soon as there is any information about the phone or the release date we will report on it. The pricing, as well, is unknown but it will be interesting over the next coming months to see what the rumour mill starts churning out.
