Get The Look: Emma Roberts at the People's Choice Awards
As soon as I start feeling blue that the holidays are over, I have to remind myself that my "Second Christmas" is right around the corner...that's right, I'm talking about awards season! I've made no secret of the fact that I'm an awards show sucker, mostly for the fashion viewing, and cheesy thank you speeches. So, it's with great giddiness that I bring you my first awards show look recap of the new year! Behold: Emma Roberts at the People's Choice Awards!
"With the fun frills in Emma Robert's dress paired with soft pink heels complementing the make-up direction, I strived for innocent, timeless glamour with a pinch of drama. We used a subtle smoky color palette with pops of pink healthy hues and lots of lashes for a bit of excitement," said Neutrogena make-up artist Dawn Broussard.
"To prep, Emma started with Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub to exfoliate surface skin followed by Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture, which absorbs quickly and keeps skin hydrated for up to 12 hrs. Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup in Natural Ivory was used along with Healthy Skin Brightening Eye Perfector in Fair to give her complexion a soft natural glow. Lightly dusted over this was Neutrogena Healthy Skin Loose Powder in Fair to set her makeup and add longevity to the look.
To give the eye soft seamless depth, I used Neutrogena Nourishing Eye Quad in Sea Shell with the deepest color in the crease while the highlighter popped the brow bone and eyelid creating dimension to the application. Neutrogena Nourishing Eye Liner in Spiced Chocolate was softly blended above the upper lash line to pronounce lashes and keep an upward focus for the eye shape. Neutrogena Healthy Lengths Mascara in Carbon Black was applied on the top lashes. I used two coats to really extend lashes, also helps to add a sheen or slickness to them. Healthy Lengths Mascara in Black/Brown was used for the lower lashes, which give softness to the overall lash look, keeping the focus in an upward direction. Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Blush in Precious Pink was used for our pop of color. Infused with vitamins and gentle minerals, this product adds to the glow of the skin.
The first step in lip perfection is a super hydrating lip balm and or base so I started with Neutrogena Lip Boost Intense Moisture Therapy dapped lightly on the lip, followed by Neutrogena Moisture Shine Lipstick in Angles Blush. The final step was to add Moisture Shine Gloss in Healthy Blush. For a big event, layering products is essential to the hold the vitality of the look!"
