GLITZY drama Dynasty is to return to the screen - as a big-budget Hollywood MOVIE.
But the story - famously set in the 1980s - will instead be staged in the Sixties' era of Mad Men.TV soap Dynasty, starring John Forsyth and Joan Collins ran for nine series from 1981 to 1989. scooping a string of awards.
The film will focus on the younger years of their characters - oil tycoon Blake Carrington and his wife Alexis.
Show creator Richard Shapiro said it will be just like the original series but "with horns".
He said: "We're taking the Dynasty family to places they've never been before. There will be some very unlikely twists."
Richard confirmed the flick will take place in the era of TV hit Mad Men, starring Christina Hendricks.
He said: "We want to go back to the beginning with these characters.
"It will give us the opportunity to start afresh."
GLEE star Naya Rivera has hinted she wants her character Santana Lopez to begin a lesbian romance with Brittany Pierce.
The pair have already been seen in intimate scenes in the second series on E4.
Naya, 24, said: "I would like for them to maybe 'pick a side'. But it's up to the writers."
Brittany is played by Heather Morris.
