Katy Perry announces North American 'California Dreams' tour on Facebook Live interview
Put on your favorite candy-covered frock, Katy Perry's coming to town!
The pop singer, who kicked off the live video stream with a Q&A with Mark Zuckerberg's sister Randi Zuckerberg, excitedly talked about the tour, which she said will involve scent as well as sound.
"It's an edible-looking tour with meat and candy," she said. "It'll look like a smorgasbord of them."
During the interview, Perry had technicians stream in cotton candy-scented air into the Facebook offices.
"I'm gonna make the Facebook offices STINK!" the star tweeted earlier in the day.
Perry said she will be employing the artistic skills of Mark Ryden and Will Cotton, who created the portrait for her "Teenage Dream" album cover.
Perry also made other, smaller announcements throughout the interview.
For the Grammys, set to air Feb. 13, the provocative pop star plans to bring her 90-year-old grandmother as her date.
"It'll be my grammy at the Grammys," she said. For her grandmother's recent birthday, Perry gave her a bedazzled cane, and she joked with Randi about all other things bedazzled.
"A bedazzled toilet! Though I think that would hurt," the star wondered aloud.
The tour will kick off on June 7 and Perry will wind her way to the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ on June 19. Presale tickets start on Friday.
