Latest News Just in: BAFTA Nominations
With the Golden Globes done and dusted our attention has turned to the next big awards show of the season - the BAFTAs.
Yes, it's London's turn to roll out the red carpet next and welcome the stylishly dressed stars. And this morning the nominations were announced. It should come as no surprise that Natalie Portman's ballet-themed movie, Black Swan, has been nominated in 12 different categories - and that Portman is once again up for the Best Actress award. The film has also been given the nod for its costumes - no shock there either given that design duo of the moment, Rodarte, were roped in to create the ballet pieces.
So who else can we expect to see flying in to the capital? Colin Firth's star turn in the King's Speech has earned the movie 15 nominations, so we can certainly expect to see him and wife Livia put in an appearance. Gemma Arterton and Emma Stone are both in the running for the Orange Wednesdays Rising Award so they're sure to be on hand. And Julianne Moore and Noomi Rapace (star of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo) are competing with Natalie Portman for the Best Actress Award.
