Sandra Bullock remains mum on Jesse James engagement, keeps busy with movies

The 46-year-old actress' next film, "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close," stars Tom Hanks and John Goodman and recently began production, casting lists show. Bullock won her first Academy Award last year for her previous movie, "The Blind Side."
"Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" is based on the 2005 novel by Jonathan Safran Foer and tells of a 9-year-old boy, played by "Jeopardy!" winner Thomas Horn, who searches New York for information on a mysterious key he found, which belonged to his father, who died in the Sept. 11, 2011 attacks. The movie is set for release in 2012.
Bullock also has three more film projects in the works - the comedy "Kiss & Tango," "Most Wanted" with Ryan Reynolds, who starred with her in the 2009 film "The Proposal," and "Gravity," a 3D thriller about a woman stranded on a space station, which also stars George Clooney.
The year 2010 was not easy for Bullock. In January, she and James, the 41-year-old CEO of custom motorcycle manufacturer West Coast Choppers, adopted a baby boy, Louis, who was born in New Orleans. But following her Oscar win in March, several women told press outlets they had had affairs with James.
Bullock filed for divorce in April, ending five years of marriage, and James confirmed publicly he had cheated on her. Their divorce was finalized in June and Bullock declared she would raise Louis as a single parent.
James, who has three children from previous relationships, stepped out with new girlfriend Von D, the 28-year-old star of the reality show "LA Ink" in September. The two confirmed earlier this week that they were engaged.
Her spokesperson had no immediate comment on the matter. Bullock did not respond when asked by celebrity photographers in New York what she thought of the engagement, People magazine reported.
Von D, whose real name is Katherine Drachenberg, is a Mexican native who was born to Argentinian parents. She has said she does not mind critics of her relationship with James and told OnTheRedCarpet.com in September: "People are going to say whatever they're going to say. They've criticized every relationship I've ever been in."
