Mike Mayock Says Chiefs Fans Should Be Nervous Against Ravens

NFL Network's Mike Mayock is one of my favorite football analysts so I was disappointed to hear that he's not buying the Kansas City Chiefs over the Baltimore Ravens right now. In the Chiefs-Ravens Playbook episode on NFL Network, Mayock detailed some problems the Chiefs had with the Oakland Raiders running game last week and suggested the Ravens will do similar things this weekend. Here's a sampling of a few things Mayock had to say while reviewing the tape on the Chiefs-Raiders: Star-divide "That doesn't look good to me.....That's not good. You're beat pre-snap.....Talk about outnumbered again....Look at that. Are you kidding me?....If I'm a Kansas City fan, on that side of the ball, I'm nervous." NFL Network's Brian Baldinger highlighted a few Matt Cassel throws that were simply inaccurate throws and ones you have to make in a game like this. Baldinger said the Chiefs will have trouble with big, physical defenses like the Ravens and noted John Hendersonhad his way with Casey Wiegmann, Brian Waters and Ryan Lilja at times last week. (Baldinger has also tabbed Jamaal Charles as the most valuable player that's not a quarterback) So the Chiefs underdog role is growing and it doesn't appear Mayock will be joining Mike Ditka, Keyshawn Johnson, Mike Golic and Merrill Hoge as guys that have picked the Chiefs.
