Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher talk to Oprah Winfrey
The unsinkable Debbie Reynolds will join her daughter, the wonderfully caustic Carrie Fisher, on Tuesday’s edition of “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”
Carrie will talk about her substance abuse and mental breakdown. Debbie will discuss the Elizabeth Taylor-Eddie Fisher scandal. Reynolds, Taylor and Fisher were the Jennifer Aniston-Angelina Jolie-Brad Pitt of the late 1950s.
Here’s hoping the women discuss their movies: Carrie zoomed to stardom in “Star Wars.” And Debbie’s output includes the beloved “Singin’ in the Rain” and “The Unsinkable Molly Brown.”

On Monday’s show, Winfrey is staging a reunion of the “Roseanne” cast. “The Oprah Winfrey Show” airs at 4 p.m. weekdays on WFTV-Channel 9 and repeats at 9 weeknights on WRDQ-Channel 27.
