'20/20' Exclusive: Kati Kim on Her Family's Harrowing Ordeal
It was a story that touched everyday Americans and prompted the biggest search-and-rescue mission in Oregon's history: The disappearance of the Kim family.

Wrong Turn: The Kim Family's Harrowing Ordeal
Kati was a 21-year-old college student in Seattle when she met 26-year-old James Kim during a road trip with friends though Northern California. They married in Las Vegas in 1999. "He was the cutest thing I'd ever seen in my entire life! We got matching tattoos, and that was pretty much how we met. We were inseparable after that," Kati said. Kati Kim story - anybody watching tonight
I hope this has not already been posted but I'm in a hurry and don't have time to search......I'm DVR'ing it BTW.
Kati Kim and her husband were the parents lost in the Oregon wilderness with two small kids about four years ago. The father went for help (after about 8 days) and died from hypothermia. Kati and her two small children survived.
When asked about the experience I remember reading that she said she nursed both kids during the ordeal. ( Read Kati Kim more... )
